Job description

Overview

The Warehouse Checker is responsible for accurately verifying, counting, and recording cargo and materials moving in and out of the warehouse. This position ensures that all shipments are documented properly and handled in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company procedures and customer expectations.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Count, inspect, sort, and identify incoming and outgoing cargo
  • Verify cargo against shipping and receiving documents (BOL, packing list, etc.)
  • Record the storage location and condition of cargo using manual and electronic systems (tablets, scanners)
  • Load and unload trucks and containers as required
  • Mark, label, and measure cargo for inventory and handling purposes
  • Maintain accurate written tallies and logs
  • Communicate discrepancies or damages to appropriate personnel promptly

Support inventory control through cycle counts and stock audit


Qualifications

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum one (1) year of warehouse, logistics, or customer service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with handheld scanners
  • Must have a valid Driverโ€™s License
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
