Job description

EPSI Worx is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Selector to join our team. The Warehouse Selector is responsible for efficiently operating an electric pallet jack to select and prepare products for customer orders. This role requires experience with selecting products in a warehouse environment, familiarity with electric pallet jack operation and compliance with safety and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate an electric pallet jack to accurately and efficiently select products from warehouse racking.
  • Utilize SOS label technology to correctly label products and precisely build customer orders.
  • Palletize selected products while adhering to proper procedures, such as no stacking heavy-on-light and ensuring labels face out.
  • Safely and efficiently deliver selected products to the dock.
  • Perform hand selection of orders within various warehouse environments.
  • Operate the assigned SOS unit to create labels and place them on the selected products.
  • Stage pallets for loading on the appropriate dock locations and stretch-wrap products on the loading dock.
  • Safely operate and maintain all assigned equipment, including the pallet jack, SOS unit, and personal protective equipment.
  • Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Adhere to SyscoSafe preferred work methods and follow sanitation requirements to meet policy standards set forth by Sysco and AIB (American Institute of Baking).
  • Be prepared to work until all products are accurately selected and loaded, including the possibility of overtime on holidays and weekends.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack with relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with selecting products and building customer orders.
  • Ability to meet or exceed minimum efficiency levels set by engineered production standards.
  • Work rapidly and consistently throughout the shift in a fast-paced environment.
  • Achieve or surpass established cases per error goals.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures.

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Adequate physical fitness to regularly lift up to 100 lbs.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
