Warehouse Associate

Job Description

The Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, organizing, and preparing products for distribution within the facility. Working under direct supervision, this role uses warehouse documentation and computer systems to accurately move, track, and document inventory while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate manifests for dispatch and confirm customer and stock orders in the warehouse computer system.
• Interpret warehouse documents to determine which items need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Open cartons, sort merchandise, and relocate items from receiving or production areas to designated storage locations.
• Verify merchandise documentation and accurately record incoming merchandise by part number and quantity.
• Organize and place merchandise on racks, shelves, totes, or bins according to a predetermined sequence.
• Prepare products for distribution within the facility, ensuring items are properly staged and ready for the next process.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyors for transfer to packing or shipping.
• Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
• Arrange stock parts in specified sequence to support efficient assembly by other workers.
• Create and enter records for manifests in the warehouse computer system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Follow all safety rules and operational procedures while working around forklifts, hand carts, and other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support overall warehouse efficiency and orderliness.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• 0–6 months of warehouse experience preferred, with willingness to learn and follow established processes.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations such as receiving, storing, picking, and packing.
• Ability to use or learn RF scanners for picking, packing, and inventory tracking.
• Capability to handle material handling tasks such as order pulling, shipping preparation, and pallet organization.
• Comfort working under direct supervision and following detailed instructions and guidelines.
• Attention to detail when verifying documentation, recording part numbers, and confirming quantities.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment with forklifts and hand carts operating in narrow aisles.

Work Environment

This position operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move frequently in clearly defined, safety-conscious directions. The facility is a non-climate-controlled environment, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. No cellphones or personal electronics are permitted in the warehouse to maintain focus and safety. Closed-toe shoes are required as part of the dress code, and employees work around material handling equipment, racks, shelves, totes, and bins while performing daily tasks

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisville, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
