Job Overview:

The Production Supervisor is an entrepreneurial minded person that will lead overall Production and Packaging functions. This position will provide hands on leadership to Associates and Leads on the floor and will be a primary point of contact with other Baden departments. The ideal candidate for this position loves working with people, has a knack for problem solving, and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty (literally and figuratively). This role provides support for all Warehouse teams and is a good fit for someone looking to take the next step in their Production or Distribution Operations career. This position reports to the Manager of Warehousing and Distribution.


Responsibilities: 

  • Direct, coordinate and monitor the daily activities & performance of Production Operations team to assure compliance of standard Company policies, procedures, quality, and safety
  • Manage and track flow of product through the Packaging process efficiently and accurately.
  • Create and maintain Production Schedule, ensuring that customer requirements are met and resources are used efficiently.
  • Partner with Manager of Warehousing and Distribution to establish operational standards for cost control, safety and complete on-time delivery.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Warehouse employees with the goal of preparing them for future advancement opportunities.
  • Ensure company and facility Safety policies and procedures are in place and integrated into day-to-day activities.
  • Oversee employee relations and participate in staff selection, performance and compensation evaluations, corrective action and terminations, as necessary.
  • Create and maintain SOP documents, always seeking opportunities to solicit employee feedback to continually improve procedural execution.
  • Conduct daily Department meetings to ensure the team is aware of daily goals, company news and initiatives, and other pertinent information.
  • Train existing and new employees on production and safety best practices.
  • Maintain a positive, safe and healthy work environment.
  • Constant process evaluation, improvement, and documentation.

Required Education, Experience and Skills: 

  • Experience in Production Lines or Packaging Lines strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working with ERP and WMS systems
  • Proficient in standard business computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
  • High school diploma/GED
  • 2+ Year experience leading a team
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and strong communications skills
