Division Information Requisition Summary

The Material Flow Process Engineer provides process improvement support to Material Handling, Receiving, and 3rd party sequencing partners to meet material flow improvement targets as well as plant SQCDME (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment) objectives.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Through the use of lean concepts (5S, standard work, visual management, etc.), identify and execute material flow process improvement projects.
  • Represent Materials on plant kaizen events and support initiatives to improve part presentation to Production through kitting, sequencing, and small part tugger delivery.
  • Lead projects to improve material warehousing efficiencies that enable more reliable and repeatable material delivery processes.
  • Improve material unloading efficiencies and dock door utilization through the creation of scheduled receiving window times and other process improvements.
  • Reduce material shortages by supporting inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding/experience working with warehouse management systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong communication skills with shop floor associates as well as management
  • Creative problem solving skills are critical to this position’s success
  • Sound influencing skills
  • Detail Oriented & Data Driven
  • Robust Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple open projects/tasks
  • Functional skills in Microsoft Office
  • Functional CAD knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated use of Lean tools is preferred
