Job description

Position Overview:
  • This position is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products within a warehouse, utilizing warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to efficiently manage inventory, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a commitment to safety and quality.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Receiving and processing incoming stock:
  • Unloading deliveries, verifying quantities and condition of goods, scanning items into inventory system.
  • Storage and organization:
  • Properly storing products on shelves or racks according to designated locations, utilizing labeling systems to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Order picking and packing:
  • Selecting items from inventory based on customer orders, packing boxes according to specifications, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Operating warehouse equipment:
  • Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move and transport goods within the warehouse.
  • Inventory control:
  • Performing cycle counts, checking stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and reporting any issues to supervisors.
  • Loading and unloading trucks:
  • Loading and securing products onto delivery trucks for shipment.
  • Data entry:
  • Updating inventory systems with accurate information regarding product movement and quantities.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety:
  • Keeping the warehouse clean and organized, following safety procedures and reporting any hazards.
  • Must be familiar with, and follow, all standard operating procedures and guidelines.
