Job description

Position Overview

The primary focus of a warehouse worker is to provide a high level of customer service to our field operations while meeting defined quality and on time performance standards. A warehouse worker must work safely while adapting to the changing needs of our business. 

 

Technical Responsibilities of the Job

  • Pull warehouse orders according to documented standard works using a RF terminal.
  • Load Villara delivery vehicles according to routing instructions and standard work.
  • Support our field operation with precise order fulfillment.
  • Move materials within the warehouse while maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and address potential workplace hazards.
  • Perform other duties as communicated by the Outbound Supervisor

Training/Certification

  • Hold a valid California Driver’s License
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • HVAC and plumbing parts knowledge preferred.

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Individuals must be able to physically:

  • All physical requirements are noted on the Physical Requirements document for warehouse worker.

 

Working conditions and management style:

  • Most warehouse orders are pulled using manual push carts. 
  • The department is led by the Outbound Supervisor and two Warehouse Leads
  • The Outbound Supervisor reports to the Warehouse Manager
  • Processes are controlled using standard work documentation.  Warehouse workers are required to follow standard works and are encouraged to suggest improvements.
  • Warehouse workers are expected to perform loading and pulling responsibilities.
  • Overtime will be required as fluctuations in the workload dictate.
