Hours Available: Monday - Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm (30-minute lunch break) or Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)

FLSA Class: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law)

Summary: The Warehouse Operator is responsible for performing all BEDGEAR warehousing functions in a safe, professional, and efficient manner, adhering to established processes and procedures. This role ensures exceptional service for both internal and external customers by accurately executing tasks such as unloading, picking, and shipping products with 100% precision.

Essential Functions (includes but not limited to):

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for performing all BEDGEAR warehousing functions in a safe, professional, and efficient manner, adhering to established processes and procedures. This position requires an intermediate understanding of warehousing best practices, including physical and systematic receiving processes, maintaining appropriate stock levels for production, and accurately picking finished goods orders using warehouse management systems and RF scanners. This role ensures exceptional, uncompromising service for both internal and external customers by executing tasks swiftly, accurately, and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all warehousing functions while following established safety and operational procedures.
  • Maintain inventory safely and accurately within the warehouse.
  • Accurately pick all order types (B2B and B2C) according to pick tickets, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Efficiently floor load finished goods cartons on full truckloads or containers to maximize cubic space.
  • Perform inventory counts at required accuracy levels using current measurement techniques.
  • Ensure production areas maintain appropriate stock levels to prevent workflow disruptions.
  • Move completed work orders from production areas into finished goods inventory.
  • Complete receiving condition reports and validate received SKU and carton counts.
  • Assist in manual unloading and processing of inbound containers containing raw materials and finished goods.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks and other warehouse equipment are necessary to complete tasks.
  • Perform daily pre-operational checks on all equipment used in warehouse operations.
  • Label, palletize, and stage inbound and outbound materials accurately.
  • Utilize WMS and RF scanners to ensure systematic accuracy in all warehousing processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse space.
  • Comfortable performing tasks that require constant physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
  • English literate and proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Computer savvy; Microsoft Office and general computer skills
  • Must be able to move constantly, quickly and efficiently to fulfill job duties.
  • Must be willing to work mandatory overtime when needed
  • Must be willing and able to submit to pre-employment and random drug testing
  • Must be able to pass all safety training tests

Education/Experience/License Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse and distribution environment.
  • Experience operating a forklift or pallet jack is a plus
  • Prior experience handling a large number of SKU's (10K+)
  • Knowledge of Ecommerce shipping a plus
  • Must have RF scanner experience
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with strong follow-up
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Must possess excellent attention to detail and a solid understanding of quality and accuracy standards.

Sensory Requirements: Should have working use of hearing and vision with or without the use of corrective lenses/hearing aids to be able to read paperwork, stand for an extended periods of time, and frequently move about the facility.

Environmental: N/A - indoor warehouse environment (not climate controlled)

Language Skills: English proficiency required (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension).

Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic and algebra

Reasoning Ability: The Warehouse Operator must use sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking to resolve challenges and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. This role requires the ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to shifting demands, and identify opportunities for process improvements while ensuring safety, efficiency, and attention to detail.
