About the Opportunity
A growing recycling and logistics operation in Sutton, Massachusetts is looking for a hands-on Warehouse Lead to help oversee daily warehouse operations while leading by example on the floor. This role works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to keep operations running efficiently and serves as the backup leader when needed.
This isn't a desk job—you'll be actively involved in receiving, shipping, inventory, forklift operation, and supporting the warehouse team every day. What You'll Do
● Lead daily warehouse activities while working alongside the team
● Serve as the backup to the Warehouse Supervisor when needed
● Train, coach, and support warehouse employees to ensure productivity and safety
● Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, receiving, and material movement
● Verify incoming materials and maintain organized warehouse storage
● Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation
● Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
● Monitor workflow and help improve productivity throughout the warehouse
● Work with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries
● Maintain accurate inventory and shipping documentation
● Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
● Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and reduce costs
● Assist with other warehouse and operational duties as needed
What You Bring
● 1+ year of warehouse lead, supervisory, or team leadership experience
● Experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or recycling operations
● Forklift experience with the ability to become certified
● Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations
● Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
● Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the day
● Ability to pass a physical fitness assessment
