Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team at AMCON Distributing Company, working closely with the Operations Manager. As a Shift Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations and provide leadership and guidance to warehouse personnel during your assigned shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assist in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations.
  • Support the implementation of warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Supervise and train warehouse associates, ensuring proper workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assist in monitoring warehouse performance metrics and implementing improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Observes and reports personnel performance, making recommendations to be considered by the Operations Manager and Human Resources Department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift 40-60 pounds and to stand, bend and lift regularly.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
