Job description

eGourmet Solutions is a National Fulfillment and Logistics Company specializing in the E-Commerce business of frozen, refrigerated and dry perishable goods. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the overall safety, all operations and productivity metrics of the warehouse. This role will enforce best practices and increase efficiencies of our warehouse with active engagement and accountability with the local production team and as a facilitator between other teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Staffing

  • Conduct new employee orientations
  • Monitor attendance, PTO, etc.
  • Ensure team is motivated
  • Train and cross-train staff

Safety

  • Engage in proactive safety training to prevent injuries
  • Track and report all injuries and accidents
  • Ensure facility freezers and coolers are functioning as expected at all times
  • Ensure facility repairs are made timely
  • Ensure the cold chain is not broken at anytime

Inbound/Outbound operations

  • Establish relationships with all vendors, including carriers
  • Plan trailer and carrier pickups and deliveries
  • Accurate and timely printing, processing and shipping of orders
  • Accurate and timely receiving of inbound trailers
  • Accurate and timely loading of outbound trailers

Repack operations

  • Accurate and timely repacking of product
  • Ensure all food safety protocols are followed at all times

Compliance

  • Monitor access to the facility, including visitors, drivers and staff
  • Ensure logs are kept up to date
  • Train and enforce all EGS SOPs, including personnel safety and food safety
  • Ensure facility is in compliance with FDA, USDA and Health dept regulations

Communication

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Communicate clearly and professionally on a daily basis with direct supervisor as well as other departments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year of supervisor fulfillment experience.
  • Working flexible hours to accommodate completion of daily assignments including some weekends if necessary.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a freezer at -5 degrees F.
  • Ability to lift up to 60-lbs continuously throughout the day.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Professional written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to lead by example.
  • Ability to anticipate possible issues.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement in a fast-paced environment.
  • Military experience a plus.
