Job description

Position Summary

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and improving the daily operations of the company to ensure efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role leads cross-functional activities across accounting, sales, warehouse operations, inventory management, fleet management, customer service, human resources, and administrative processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily business operations, ensuring efficient execution of company processes and procedures.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
  • Analyze business metrics and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements. Collaborate with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and accounting teams to support company objectives.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes. Monitor employee performance, staffing levels, and operational workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and technology adoption to enhance business operations.
  • Resolve operational issues quickly while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Periodic travel between company locations, vendors, or customer sites as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of operations management experience, preferably in wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, transportation, and process improvement.
