Job description

Purpose of the Job

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor โ€“ 2nd Shift is responsible for leading and managing all warehouse activities during the second shift. This includes supervising production, picking, packing, consolidation, and shipping and coordinating with other departments to support efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

This position will be based in our Kenosha, WI Warehouse 5 days per week. Normal work hours are M-F 2:30pm-11:00pm.

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Lead warehouse functions during the second shift, including production, picking, packing, consolidation, and shipping.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of associates to meet productivity and quality goals.
  • Monitor and enforce safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Collaborate with 1st shift inventory control, production and shipping teams to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including discrepancies, and shift reports.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Schedule labor and assign tasks based on workload and priorities.
  • Provide performance feedback and participate in hiring, training, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Communicate and share knowledge of operation with the group.
  • Coordinate and implement new business and internal process improvements.
  • Maintains reports which include, but are not limited to, Departmental Efficiencies, Quality, and Inventory Control.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelorโ€™s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse processes.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
