Job Title: Material Handler Department: Warehouse

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Job Summary:

This position will work with a team of material handlers doing product put-aways from our production departments and other warehouse facilities, as well as replenishments and inventory bin audits.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate high-reach forklift and electric/manual pallet jack

  • Assist in the arrangement of stock in the warehouse and delivery of items to appropriate departments and/or locations

  • Check equipment to ensure health and safety regulations are met

  • Maintain a clean working environment

  • Perform simple maintenance and housekeeping tasks

  • Regular Attendance

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all functions within the plant and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals at all levels

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or management

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations

  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work overtime as needed and as required

  • Ability to maintain acceptable standards of conduct

Education and experience:

  • 5+ years forklift experience

  • SAP or other WMS experience strongly preferred

  • Experience working with push-back racking preferred

  • Experience working with food products and familiarity with lot codes and expiration dates, FIFO rotation, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.

  • Occasionally lift up to 28 Ibs.

  • This position requires frequent walking, standing, twisting, reaching, bending, climbing and lifting.

  • Frequently walk, stand, as well as constant hand coordination
