Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare orders and maintain records in compliance with USDA requirements, company policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality picking and packing of outbound shipments.
  • Collaborate with customer service to resolve any order-related issues.
  • Ensure shipping materials are accessible and available for immediate use.
  • Maintain a clean, organized shipping area.
  • Transport inventory and supplies between facilities as needed.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining inventory records and conducting cycle counts.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with delivery drivers and customers.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials, supplies, and returned goods, verifying against purchase orders or receiving documentation.
  • Report shortages or damages to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Route materials to appropriate storage areas or departments.
  • Train, guide, and support team members to ensure effective performance.
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and collaborative attitude in the workplace.
  • Collaborate with and provide support to other departments as needed.

Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, and bend throughout the day.

  • Regularly lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Use carts, hand trucks, pallet movers, and forklifts (training provided if necessary).
  • Work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle interruptions.
  • Collaborate effectively with teams or work independently.
  • Basic proficiency using standard office software and learning new digital tools as needed
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • License: Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in shipping operations.
  • Familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipping software.
  • Previous experience with NetSuite or similar order and inventory management software is helpful but not required.
