Job description

Retail Warehouse Associate
JOB PURPOSE: To deliver on the mission of Wilco by profitably providing superior customer service.
JOB SUMMARY: Greet customers and load warehouse products, yard products, and eComm merchandise. Provide product information and keep warehouse and yard areas clean and orderly. Unload, check in, and stock warehouse and yard area merchandise.
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service and product information to customers on warehouse and yard products.
  • Safely and carefully carry out load and transport merchandise using established standards, policies, and processes.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by wearing appropriate safety garments and following all safety procedures.
  • Execute eComm activities as required by BOPIS.
  • Keep store warehouse and outside facility areas clean and orderly using our daily warehouse and yard recovery process.
  • Unload, check in, and stock warehouse and yard merchandise utilizing established procedures.
  • Responsible for properly securing warehouse, yard, and lot merchandise at Wilco Stores and while using equipment/vehicles.
  • Keep the store stocked with merchandise warehoused or stored in the yard or warehouse.
  • Safely operate forklift and delivery vehicles.
  • Assemble store merchandise as directed by managers.
  • Maintain and comply with established retail standards.
  • Deliver store merchandise to customers.
  • Participate in merchandising, signing, and store maintenance as assigned.
  • Maintain familiarity with Wilco's various specialty accounts and offer to customers as needed.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

Special Skills/Training
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Skill to operate a forklift and other facility equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Skill at product recognition.
  • 18 years of age minimum due to forklift operation requirement.
