Job Description
Warehouse Associate
We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping finished goods. This is a hands-on, task-focused role working under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor.
The ideal candidate is organized, follows established procedures, and contributes ideas to improve warehouse processes and efficiency. You are a strong candidate if you are detail-oriented, dependable, enjoy structured work, and take pride in accuracy, organization, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive finished goods and materials into the warehouse: verify shipments against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and accurately store items in designated locations.
  • Accurately pick customer orders by reading and following pick sheets and established procedures.
  • Assemble, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment using appropriate shipping methods (truck, UPS, etc.), ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
  • Record quantities of materials received, picked, packed, or shipped using approved computer systems and documentation.
  • Follow customer packaging and shipping requirements as directed.
  • Rotate inventory to ensure proper lot usage, assist with cycle counts, and support accurate inventory records.
  • Manage ordering of some warehouse supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Supervisor, Customer Service, Order Entry, and Operations team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Follow all established warehouse procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and assigned warehouse projects.
The above represents primary duties; additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Regular work hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; flexibility to adjust hours occasionally as business needs require. Overtime may be required infrequently.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification required, can be done upon start. Daily forklift use required.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook. Experience with CoPilot a plus.
  • Ability to use business software / ERP system for receiving, picking/packing, and shipping tasks; familiarity with UPS shipping software preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while taking direction from the Warehouse Supervisor.
