Job description

Position Summary - Under the supervision of the Parts Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all warehouse functions. This includes inventory movement, ordering, processing, shipping, and receiving

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensures effective warehouse performance and maintains inventory control of parts which includes monitoring cycle counts, accuracy of orders picked and shipped, proper placement of parts into inventory and warehouse equipment.
  • Maintains warehouse standards including warehouse layout, inventory placement and warehouse cleanliness and safety.
  • Works with Parts Manager and Director to supervise and coordinate annual inventory counts.
  • Coordinates and schedules location delivery vehicle maintenance, inspections and repairs.
  • Oversees the shipping and receiving functions at all locations.
  • Oversees dispatcher or dispatching at the location.
  • Hires and maintains staff of qualified warehouse and delivery driver personnel.
  • May provide maintenance of warehouse facility.
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervision

Supervises all warehouse and delivery driver personnel which includes interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
