Job description

Imperial Dade has a Shipping Coordinator role available in Lithia Springs, GA! Join a strong and continuously evolving team helping to continue to grow our business. If you're eager for your next opportunity, Imperial Dade is a great place to take that next step.
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for operating an order-picker to retrieve and ship stocked merchandise to fulfill customer orders that are shipped via various freight line carriers.
This is a Day shift position: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
You will:
  • Operate an order/cherry picker to retrieve stock
  • Prepare orders for shipping
  • Stack and wrap merchandise on pallets.
  • Check the packing list against the merchandise for accuracy.
  • Inspect merchandise for damage.
  • Load palletized merchandise on various freight line carriers' trucks.
  • Manage shipping vendor returns.
  • Maintain records of outbound shipments
  • Frequently inspect material handling equipment to report any mechanical issues.

You have:
  • Ability to learn and operate ERP system.
  • Ability to operate and complete a tow motor, order/cherry-picker, and electric pallet jack.
  • Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs; ability to pull 2200 lbs using a pallet jack and pull or push 200 lbs using a two-wheeler.
  • Ability to stand and be in motion at all times. Flexible enough to walk, twist, bend, stoop, pull, grip and lift merchandise.
  • Warehouse experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
