Job description

Role Summary
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the overall accuracy, control, and performance of inventory operations across the warehouse. This role ensures inventory integrity is maintained through disciplined execution of processes, accurate system management, and strong team leadership. The Inventory Supervisor balances hands-on operational oversight with analytical problem-solving to identify discrepancies, drive process improvements, and support overall operational flow.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Operations & Accuracy
  • Oversee daily execution of inventory workflows, including cycle counts, bin/location accuracy, putaway, replenishment, and internal transfers
  • Ensure inventory is accurately reflected across systems (NetSuite, RF Smart, Hot Wax) and physical locations
  • Own cycle count program, including prioritization, completion, and validation of count accuracy
  • Maintain inventory control standards and ensure proper product handling across receiving, storage, and fulfillment

Discrepancy Resolution & Inventory Control
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including missing product, mis-slotted inventory, and system mismatches
  • Review and approve inventory adjustments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
  • Identify root causes of recurring issues across receiving, putaway, and picking, and implement corrective actions
  • Reinforce process discipline and accountability across the team

Data, Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Track and analyze key inventory metrics, including accuracy rates, adjustment trends, count completion, and not-found/short pick data
  • Identify trends, high-risk areas, and operational breakdowns, and drive process improvements
  • Maintain reporting that provides visibility into inventory health and supports decision-making
  • Ensure proper and consistent use of inventory systems (NetSuite, RF Smart) across the team
  • Maintain system data integrity and support troubleshooting when needed
  • Standardize and document inventory processes to support consistency and scalability

Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Manage and develop Inventory Leads and Associates, setting clear expectations for performance, accuracy, and productivity
  • Provide ongoing coaching, conduct performance reviews, and address performance gaps with structured action plans
  • Build a culture of accountability, urgency, and ownership while developing future leaders

Communication & Collaboration
  • Partner with Fulfillment, Receiving, QC, and Merchandising Planning teams to resolve inventory issues and ensure workflow alignment
  • Act as point of contact for inventory-related escalations impacting fulfillment or inbound operations
  • Ensure inventory processes support operational flow and do not create bottlenecks

Time & Attendance
  • Manage and approve weekly timecards in ADP Workforce, ensuring accuracy of hours worked, overtime, and pay codes
  • Review, approve, and track PTO, sick time, and leave requests, ensuring proper coverage and adherence to company policy
  • Audit timekeeping records to ensure compliance with labor laws, meal/rest break requirements, and company policies
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and documentation for performance management and HR reporting
  • Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing

Availability
  • Warehouse Operation Days: Monday - Sunday
  • Warehouse Operation Hours: 5:00am - 9:00pm
  • Required to have flexibility to work weekends, peak seasons, and extended hours as needed
  • Ability to support multiple shifts (AM, MID, PM) depending on business needs

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of inventory, warehouse, or distribution experience, including 1+ year in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of inventory control processes, including cycle counts, adjustments, reconciliation, and root cause analysis
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive process improvements
  • Experience with warehouse systems (NetSuite, RF Smart preferred) and understanding of how inventory impacts fulfillment and receiving
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team development, performance management, and accountability ownership
  • Experience handling coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions in partnership with HR
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple workflows and manage competing operational demands
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with labor planning or staffing allocation preferred
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
