Super Vacuum Manufacturing Company is an established, locally owned, family business that manufactures fire equipment and emergency vehicles that help our communities save lives. We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our growing business operations team. Position Overview: Analyze and track production costs by examining expenses related to materials, labor, and overhead, identify areas for cost reduction, and provide management with crucial data regarding the true cost of producing goods or services.  


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Tracking inventory levels and conducting regular audits, including cycle counts.  
  • Analyze variances between budgeted costs and actual costs, investigating discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.  
  • Participate in inventory management including valuation, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.  
  • Examine bills of materials for accuracy in ERP system.  
  • Assess inventory level accuracy, including raw materials and finished goods.  
  • Organizing and maintaining stockrooms, warehouses, or storage areas for efficient access  
  • Using inventory management software and ERP systems to log, monitor, and adjust stock levels  
  • Investigating discrepancies, implementing loss prevention strategies, and recommending clearance or disposal of obsolete items  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, purchasing, and finance, to gather and analyze cost data and insights.  
  • Training and support of staff in inventory procedures and best practices
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

 Required Skills and Qualifications:   

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations  
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., Syteline, Acumatica) and Microsoft Excel  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess inventory trends and prevent losses  
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and orderly storage  
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams  
  • Ability to read and write standard operating procedures
  • Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time, ability to bend and twist
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical agility test and drug screen  


Education:  

  • College degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration. A high school diploma plus relevant experience can be substituted.
