Job description

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely inventory levels within the warehouse. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory procedures, data analysis, and vendor coordination. The role supports operational efficiency, cost control, and inventory accuracy.

Duties/Responsibilities

o Maintain accurate inventory records, including daily tracking, audits, and adjustments.

o Analyze inventory reports to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.

o Implement and utilize inventory control systems such as barcoding or RFID.

o Collaborate with vendors and purchasing to maintain stock accuracy and compliance.

o Conduct financial analysis to reduce waste and optimize inventory levels.

o Use software (e.g., Nielsen) to track sales data and adjust inventory as needed.

o Coordinate with internal departments to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

o Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, as needed to support inventory activities.

o Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Required Skills/Abilities:

o Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.

o Basic understanding of inventory control procedures and warehouse processes.
