The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all inventory-related operations within a warehouse environment, ensuring accurate stock levels, efficient inventory movement, and timely fulfillment of orders. In this role, the Inventory Manager develops and enforces inventory control policies, manages cycle counts and stock reconciliations, and collaborates closely with warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams to streamline inventory flow. Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), they leverage real-time data and reporting tools to track inventory performance, analyze trends, and support decision-making. Additionally, they play a key role in system configuration, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, reduce costs, and ensure operational excellence. This role will have a primary focus on inventory related to food distribution for operating federal nutrition assistance programs with the main warehouse in Henderson and an overflow warehouse in Aurora.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations using D365 F&O.

Configure and manage inventory modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

Implement and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control.

Monitor and analyze inventory performance through dashboards and real-time reporting in D365 F&O.

Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.

Lead and manage the cycle counting program to reduce shrinkage and improve stock reliability.

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and root causes.

Support inventory-related system upgrades, data migrations, and process automations.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Provide training and support to warehouse staff on inventory procedures and D365 F&O functionality.

Assist in forecasting and demand planning by providing accurate inventory data.

Continuously identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in warehouse inventory management or a related field.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) or similar ERP, especially warehouse and inventory modules.

Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and reconciliation processes.

Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and KPI tracking.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Ability to lead and train warehouse staff in inventory processes and systems.

Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.

Familiarity with compliance standards and audit requirements related to inventory.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience working with VANs or middleware platforms in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment.
