Job description

Description:Job Summary

As a Warehouse Agent you will contribute to the timely delivery of Express packages by loading and unloading of air freight containers, moving these containers from airplane to truck for on-time delivery to our customers at our airport location. This job is a cross-dock operation; your role is to move Express packages from aircraft to warehouse to trucks with no/minimal storage.  Our indoor facility is an open-air environment and not temperature controlled, and you may work in or around aircraft. We perform at the highest level for our customers every day and strive to be an exceptional leader in our industry with our teams of warehouse and air logistic experts across our Express locations. Responsibilities
  • Load and unload package containers, moving packages by hand and pushcart, to warehouse to truck
  • Build up package containers ready for outbound flights
  • Break down package containers from arriving flights
  • Remove tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading
  • Sort, scan and move small packages within the warehouse
  • Operate package handling equipment such as pallet jacks and gaylords (push carts)
  • Check air express containers for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate per air safety and security guidelines

Shift differential:  $2/hour for overnight shift

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in similar role required
  • Valid Driver’s license required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and holidays.  Peak Season (November-December) may require longer hours
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language 
  • Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off.
  • Ability to judge distances.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with others.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, multiple times a day
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, rain, wind and snow
  • Ability to stand for an entire shift and travel long distances across our facilities by foot
