Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) / Warehouse Assistant

$23 Per Hour | Friendly, Fast-Paced AtmosphereFull-Time Position

A & H Metals, Inc. is HIRING NOW for friendly and hard-working Delivery Drivers / Warehouse Assistants to perform daily deliveries and help out in our warehouse when needed. Ideal candidates will have a clean driving record, be over 21, and be able to drive trucks ranging from pickups to 20' low cab forward flat beds. A & H Metals, Inc. is a diverse custom metals job shop with the ability to design, fabricate and install all types of sheet metal, misc. metals, and ornamental metals for both industrial and commercial projects including but not limited to glass railings, cable rails, aluminum, polished stainless, and other custom ornamental metals. Responsibilities:

  • Daily pickup and deliveries to Commercial customers and Construction sites within the local tri-state area
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to shop manager
  • Ensure that trucks are loaded safely and ensure loads are properly secured to prevent damage
  • Operate a fork-lift to load and unload shipments and deliveries
  • When not driving, will be responsible for racking raw materials and general shop organization
  • Adhere to safe driving practices and rules of the road

Requirements:

  • Bend, reach, lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Be a team player and have the ability to take instruction from multiple project managers
  • Be courteous and respectful to customers and associates while making deliveries
  • Be organized and turn in required paperwork after each completed task
  • Work overtime and Saturdays as needed
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical and comply with all DOT standards and regulations
  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
