Job description

The Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of enterprise data warehouse applications, ETL pipelines, and backend systems. The role involves validating data transformations, developing automated testing solutions, performing database testing, and ensuring accurate reporting across cloud-based data platforms. Working within an Agile Scrum team, the engineer will collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions.

This role is ideal for a QA professional with strong expertise in database testing, ETL validation, backend automation, and cloud- based data platforms, who is passionate about delivering high- quality, reliable enterprise data solutions.

The Work:

  • Perform ETL, backend database, and data warehouse testing.
  • Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for data pipelines and backend applications.
  • Validate source-to-target data transformations, business rules, and data quality using SQL.
  • Design ,developand maintain automation frameworks for ETL, database, and regression testing using Python and SQL.
  • Execute data validation, reconciliation, row count, aggregate, and data integrity testing.
  • Validate cloud-based data platforms including AWS, Databricks, Redshift, Amazon S3, and RDS.
  • Develop test plans based on business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to support sprint planning, defect resolution, and release validation.
  • Participate in system integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Identifydefects, perform root cause analysis, and recommend process improvements.

 Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 8 Years experience
  • 5 years of Test Automation experience
  • Experience developing test plans through data driven testing
  • Experience in ETL Testing, Backend Database Testing, and Data Validation.
  • Strong SQL skills using Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redshift.
  • Experience developing manual and automation testing solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Databricks, and data warehouse environments.
  • Experience creating data-driven test plans and validatinglarge datasets.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Bonus If You Have: 

  • Databricks and Amazon Redshift
  • Python, SQL, PySpark, Java, or C#
  • Selenium, PyTest, TestRail
  • Stored Procedures, Functions, and Database Performance Testing
  • AWS IAM, Amazon RDS
