Job description

Position Summary...The Sr. Counsel, Product & Technology Legal Integration serves as a critical integration point between Product strategy and Legal risk posture within Product and Technology Legal at Walmart. This role ensures regulatory considerations are aligned early and consistently across the product portfolio, serving as a cohesive bridge between AI Product + Design and Global Technology teams. This is a cross-functional role working closely with multiple stakeholder groups across the company to minimize regulatory and legal risk while enabling faster, more confident prioritization. What you'll do...

  • Serve as legal liaison to Product and Product-Tech prioritization forums
  • Translate evolving regulatory expectations into product-relevant guidance
  • Identify cross-product implications and prevent fragmented legal positions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including compliance, product, technology, and business stakeholders—to develop scalable and practical legal guidance
  • Escalate concerns based on risk to the company and recommend a plan of action for resolution and risk mitigation
What you'll bring...
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.), license to practice law and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
  • Minimum of 6 years for Sr. Counsel level, with expertise in product, technology, or regulatory law
  • Experience advising on enterprise compliance programs and risk management in large-scale operations
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Prior in-house counsel experience strongly preferred
  • Strategic thinking with a business-centered, pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach
  • Strong judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • You're proactive, energetic and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in large cross-functional teams

We are looking for attorneys who operate with strong judgment, ownership, and clarity in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. The right candidates must be able to make well-reasoned, risk-based decisions without complete information and take accountability for outcomes, not just provide analysis. This role requires the ability to distill complex legal and regulatory issues into clear, practical guidance and to operate with a bias toward timely, decisive action. Candidates must be comfortable partnering closely with product, engineering, and business teams, balancing legal risk with business objectives in a pragmatic, solutions-oriented manner. We value attorneys who are confident making decisions and moving matters forward, rather than defaulting to escalation or over-conservatism.
