Job description

Position Summary...As the Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance & Ethics, you will serve as the compliance lead for Walmart's Associate-to-Driver (A2D) Program, helping ensure the program operates in accordance with federal and state CDL regulations while supporting the development of the next generation of professional drivers.
You will partner closely with Transportation Operations, Learning & Development, Fleet Safety, Legal, Government Affairs, and field leadership to identify risks, improve processes, and drive a culture of compliance throughout the A2D lifecycle.

The Fleet Compliance team oversees regulatory governance for Walmart’s transportation operations, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local requirements. The team supports safe, efficient business practices by monitoring regulations, assessing risks, and developing compliance policies. Collaborating across the enterprise, they address operational challenges and enhance compliance programs. Supporting one of North America’s largest private fleets, the team influences strategic decisions and drives initiatives that promote responsible operations.   • Serve as the compliance leader for Walmart's Associate-to-Driver (A2D) Program, including oversight of ELDT, CDL training, testing, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and interpret federal and state DOT regulations and assess potential impacts to Walmart's driver development programs.
  • Develop compliance monitoring programs, audits, and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and regulatory adherence.
  • Conduct impact assessments for proposed federal and state regulatory changes and provide strategic recommendations to business leaders.
  • Research emerging industry and regulatory trends and identify opportunities to strengthen Walmart's driver development strategy.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CDL, ELDT, and driver training regulations, supporting internal business partners and leadership decision-making.
What you'll bring...
  • Strong knowledge of FMCSA, CDL, and ELDT regulations.
  • Experience managing or supporting transportation, safety, compliance, driver training, or regulatory programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance and translate requirements into operational processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leveraging data to identify trends and drive decisions.
  • Experience conducting compliance reviews, investigations, audits, or risk assessments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex topics to senior leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple business functions.
  • Experience developing policies, procedures, governance frameworks, or compliance programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
