TheCategory Analyst- Walmartis responsible forleveragingconsumer, customer, and market data to develop actionable insights and drive strategic initiatives. It involves interpreting shopper data,optimizingproductassortmentsand building trusted, consultative relationships with Walmart's merchant teams.

This role supports Category Management for Mondelez and partners closely with cross-functional teams, including trade marketing, category leadership & sales.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, collaborative, and experienced in insights & analytics. Walmart or relevant category experience preferred.

How you will contribute

Insights and Data Analysis:Leveragesyndicated data (e.g.IRI, Nielsen, Numerator) and Walmart's proprietary data systems (ScintillaChannel Performance, Shopper Behavior and Customer Perceptions) to extract actionable, data driven insights on category trends and shopper behavior.

  • Generate weekly,monthly& adhoc reports and presentations that translate complex data into clear, compelling data stories.

  • Support modular and planogram evaluations and recommendations

  • Build compelling, data backed narratives that influence retailer strategies, including pricing,promotionsand new product placement

Customer / Category Strategy Development:Supportthe overarching category vision helping to grow the retailer's total category anddriveMondelez business performance.

  • Act as an unbiased, consultative category expert and trusted advisor during Walmart buyer meetings.

  • Evaluate and improve the shopping experience across both physical brick and mortar stores and digital / ecommerce platforms.

  • Develop and synthesize market research and behavioral data into clear, actionable presentations and reports acting as a snacking thought leader within Mondelez and with our merchant partners.

Cross Functional Collaboration:Build strong relationships across the customer, sales, category leadership, trade marketing and omni channel activation.

  • Experience in presenting to retailer teams andparticipatingin joint business planning / joint value creationa plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree,Business, Analytics, Economics,Marketingor related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Category Management, Insights or Analytics (CPG/FMCG or Walmart experience preferred)
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skillsrequired
  • Experience with syndicated data sources (Nielsen, Numerator, Scintilla essential)
  • Experience in using retailer data, shopperinsightsand analytics to develop comprehensive customer strategy and plans
  • Knowledge in analyzing and creating visualizations oflarge amountsof data
  • Experience developing customer facing presentations
  • eCommerce / Omnichannel Walmart experience a plus
  • JDP / POG development & analysisexperience a plus
  • Highproficiencyin Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint

Travel Requirements:10% - 20% Travel

Salary and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $97,300 to $133,815; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time.
