IT Security Analyst 2 (W2/ USC and GCs)


Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)

Duration: 1 Year

Experience: 1–3 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Security Analyst 2 to support enterprise security operations, vulnerability management, compliance, and security monitoring initiatives. The ideal candidate will have foundational cybersecurity knowledge, strong documentation skills, and experience working with security tools and frameworks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field OR an equivalent Cybersecurity certification.
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in IT Security or a related cybersecurity role.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity concepts, best practices, and security operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document security procedures and processes.
  • Experience working with security monitoring tools, GRC platforms, vulnerability management tools, and NIST security frameworks.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, System Security Plans (SSP), Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), vulnerability management, and security auditing.
  • Experience monitoring and analyzing security events and alerts.
  • Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits.
  • Experience maintaining security documentation, policies, procedures, and audit artifacts.
  • Familiarity with incident response processes and security control validation.
  • Understanding of security monitoring, logging, and access control systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Keylight or similar GRC/compliance platforms.
