Our client, a global financial technology organization headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, is seeking a Java Application Developer to join its Client Account Team. This is a hybrid position (3 days onsite / 2 days remote). The salary range is $180,000-$220,000 plus a 30% bonus and comprehensive benefits.
The Client Account Team, is the group behind the company's client account infrastructure - a mission-critical system that powers account opening, management, and servicing for millions of clients worldwide. The platform sits at the core of the client lifecycle, from onboarding through ongoing account maintenance, making accuracy, compliance, and a seamless client experience top priorities in everything they build. You'll be joining our Web Development Group, where you'll play an active role in every phase of the development lifecycle, contributing to the systems that directly serve and impact our customers.
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, maintain web-based applications and programs for our online brokerage services.
• Maintain large-multi-tiered web applications to support our customer registration and account management systems.
• The design, development, support of Oracle database schemas, PL/SQL packages, scheduled batch processing, Java applications and servers.

Qualifications:

• A master's degree in computer science or related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in web application development
• Knowledge of Oracle, PL/SQL, Object-Oriented Programming and Java
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
• Experience designing single page applications using frameworks like Angular and/or Vue.js
• Proficiency with front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and component-based architecture
• Experience using Bitbucket and Gerrit for source control, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews within a collaborative team environment.
• Hands-on experience with Gradle as a build automation tool, including dependency management, multi-project builds, and custom build scripting
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code and other agentic coding tools, to accelerate development workflows and improve code quality
• Exposure to UNIX/Linux
