Job Description
The VRF Product Manager is responsible for supporting the single phase and three phase VRF Systems segment across the AME region, with accountability for product strategy execution, portfolio management, and cross-functional coordination. This role works closely with engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to drive portfolio competitiveness, product readiness, and market success.
The position serves as a key link between product development and market execution, ensuring alignment with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and global platform strategies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the VRF Systems segment across AME, contributing to product strategy, portfolio execution, and business performance
    (Includes Mini VRF and three phase VRF)
  • Drive portfolio management and product competitiveness, identifying gaps, opportunities, and optimization actions across multiple segments
  • Coordinate end-to-end product lifecycle activities, ensuring timely launches, product updates, and phase-outs in line with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with engineering and global teams to adapt global platforms to regional market needs, balancing cost, features, and application requirements
  • Act as a key interface between product development and commercial teams, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, installer needs, and competitive positioning
  • Support development of product roadmaps and business cases, contributing to prioritization of features, platforms, and investments
  • Partner with sales and channel teams to strengthen go-to-market strategies, including positioning, product training, and value proposition development
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, translating insights into actionable product and portfolio recommendations
  • Contribute to pricing strategies and product positioning, ensuring competitiveness across residential and professional segments
  • Support agile ways of working and speed-to-market initiatives, improving responsiveness to evolving market and customer needs
  • Help drive transformation toward a more product-oriented and customer-centric approach, strengthening alignment across functions and regions

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC) or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC, product management, engineering, or related technical-commercial roles
  • Experience with VRF systems (mini VRF, air to air and air to water VRF)
  • Solid understanding of HVAC fundamentals, including system design, applications, and performance drivers
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (launches, updates, phase-outs)
  • Working knowledge of regional regulatory requirements (e.g., energy efficiency, refrigerants, safety standards)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or MBA
  • 7+ years of experience in product management or segment management within HVAC
  • Direct experience with VRF and ductless systems, inverter technologies, or light commercial applications
  • Knowledge of low-GWP refrigerants (e.g.,R454B and R32) and evolving environmental regulations
  • Experience supporting product strategy, roadmap development, and portfolio optimization
  • Exposure to pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy development
  • Familiarity with global platform adaptation/localization for regional markets
  • Experience working closely with OEMs, suppliers, or manufacturing teams
  • Understanding of channel dynamics (distribution, contractors, applied sales, key accounts)
  • Experience with digital/connected HVAC solutions (IoT, controls, smart systems)
  • Ability to translate customer and installer insights into product requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to support agile or fast-paced product development environments
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, marketing, operations)
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (launches, updates, phase-outs)
  • Working knowledge of regional regulatory requirements (e.g., energy efficiency, refrigerants, safety standards)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market and product data
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a matrixed, global organization
