Job description

Clostra is a growing artificial Intelligence (AI) company looking to expand our engineering team by adding an experienced software engineer to drive virtual reality and game development on two key projects. Clostra uses state-of-the-art machine learning to create innovative solutions for defense, medicine, and business.

You must be driven to solve customer problems and to deliver high-impact software platforms to drive machine-learning models and to visualize and interact with data and results. You need to be resourceful and pragmatic with a demonstrated ability to learn continuously, work independently, and make decisions.

Clostra is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, but has been fully remote / work‑from‑home (WFH) since 2013. We have key employees working from home across the US.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Unity development for an augmented reality (AR) / virtual reality (VR) product, backed by advanced AI computer vision models
  • Work within a team of machine learning engineers, software engineers, designers, product managers, and others
  • Help architect modular systems that can integrate with various data pipelines and modeling backends
  • Design, develop, test, and release new features focusing on customer experience
  • Use best practices for security, data protection, and maintainability
  • Continuously improve Clostra's products and development process
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience building rich 3D user experiences in Unity
  • Design and development of APIs and integration with multiple backend databases and services
  • Ability to contribute to other backend or frontend systems development outside of traditional game development
  • Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure capabilities and best-practices
  • Meticulous about writing clean, maintainable code
  • Portfolio of progressively impressive projects
