Position Summary
The Vice President of PowerFLX leads PROENERGY's project execution teams in delivering large-scale EPC construction and power installation projects. Reporting to the SVP of PowerFLX, this executive provides strategic and operational leadership across the division - driving project delivery excellence, profitability, and long-term growth.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, combining operational oversight with deep involvement in project controls, contracting, and commercial risk management. The VP establishes tools, processes, and performance standards to ensure safe, high-quality, on-budget execution of major energy projects while developing the next generation of construction and project management leaders within PowerFLX.

Position Responsibilities
  • Lead PowerFLX operations to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Oversee day-to-day functions and long-term strategy for the line of business (LOB), including staffing, training, and team development.
  • Provide strong, visible leadership to project management, construction, and engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Establish, manage, and regularly update operational budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
  • Drive process improvement and standardization in project controls, reporting, and risk management.
  • Partner with executive leadership to define and execute business strategies that expand PowerFLX's market presence.
  • Oversee commercial management of major EPC contracts-negotiations, change orders, and cost control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards (OSHA, ISO), and client contract requirements.
  • Build a high-performance culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop project leaders; ensure succession planning for key positions.
  • Report division performance to SVP and CEO, providing data-driven insights on progress and risk mitigation.
  • Champion customer satisfaction and stakeholder communication across all projects.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of EPC project leadership experience, ideally with both field and corporate exposure.
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-discipline construction projects or portfolios exceeding $100M.
  • Expertise in project controls, commercial contracting, and change-management processes.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L for a large operational division.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, coach senior managers, and develop scalable processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
