Overview:
The Vice President of Procurement provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all global sourcing and purchasing activities. Managing an estimated annual spend of $1B-$1.5B, this executive-level role optimizes supplier networks, drives cost-mitigation strategies, and builds resilient supply chains to support corporate financial goals.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Strategic Sourcing: Design and execute long-term sourcing strategies across direct and indirect spend categories.
  • Supplier Governance: Establish rigorous Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate vendor capacity, quality, and risk.
  • Cost Optimization: Lead high-value contract negotiations to maximize profitability and capture significant cost savings.
  • Risk Management: Build resilient, diversified supply networks to protect against geopolitical and market disruptions.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and scale a high-performing, centralized procurement and category management organization.
  • Technology Modernization: Drive adoption of digital procurement tools, automation, AI, and advanced spend analytics software.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with CFO, COO, and business unit leaders to synchronize procurement with corporate growth.
  • Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to global trade regulations, ethical sourcing policies, and ESG mandates.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Executive-level negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Deep mastery of total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
  • Expert knowledge of global trade, tariffs, and macro-economics.
  • Strong financial acumen and corporate balance sheet understanding.
  • Ability to work across functional boundaries and success in a matrix/network organization
  • Strong focus on execution and accountability

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance. MBA or relevant Master's degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum 12-15 years in procurement/supply chain, with at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role.
  • Proven track record managing direct/indirect spend exceeding $500M within a multi-billion-dollar enterprise.

License Requirements/Certifications:
CPSM, CSCP, or MCIPS credentials are highly preferred.
