Job description

VP / Controller - Senior Finance Leadership One of the country's largest and fastest-growing specialty finance platforms
Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 / year + Bonus
Location: Sherman Oaks, CA
Benefits: This role is eligible for medical, dental, vision 401k, PTO, HSA life and disability insurance.
We are seeking a VP/Controller to serve as a key financial architect for one of the most dynamic financial services/lenders in the country. This is a very stable and fast growing organization.
Reporting directly to the Executive Team, the VP/Controller will lead all aspects of financial reporting, forecasting, and controls, including SOX compliance, audit-ready accounting, and US GAAP guidance with a focus on fair value loan and debt accounting. This leader will oversee the full accounting function - A/P, A/R, month-end close, and the loan funding process - while driving automation initiatives and owning the financial systems roadmap. The role also includes responsibility for both SEC and internal management reporting, annual budgeting in partnership with Strategy & Analytics, and contributing to investor materials. All while working a 40 hour week.
The ideal candidate is a CPA with 8+ years of accounting leadership experience in financial services, strong SEC and SOX credentials, and the disposition of a builder - someone who wants to scale infrastructure, develop talent, and think like an operator. Experience in lending, real estate, or mortgage finance is highly preferred. This is a fast-moving search targeting a late-June start, with a streamlined three-round interview process. Senior finance leaders who thrive in high-growth, fast-paced environments are encouraged to apply.

Addison Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws. Addison Group complies with applicable state and local laws governing non-discrimination in employment in every location in which the company has facilities. Reasonable accommodation is available for qualified individuals with disabilities, upon request.
