Position Title: Vice President, Physician Practice Management

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, public health, or a related field, with a master's degree strongly preferred. They will have at least eight years of progressive leadership experience in physician practice, ambulatory, or medical group operations, including oversight of multispecialty or multi-location practices, with experience in a hospital-owned or integrated physician enterprise preferred. This leader will demonstrate expertise in physician practice operations, provider productivity, revenue cycle, financial management, regulatory compliance, and operational improvement, along with exceptional analytical, communication, relationship-building, and change management skills to drive performance and support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for the operational, financial, and service performance of Woman's employed physician practices, advanced practice providers, and assigned clinic operations.
  • Develop and execute physician practice strategies that align with Woman's mission, vision, strategic priorities, and organizational growth objectives.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing physician practice management team while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical leaders, and hospital departments to strengthen relationships and support exceptional patient care and operational excellence.
  • Optimize practice operations through effective staffing, scheduling, clinic flow, patient access, provider productivity, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Achieve established financial objectives by monitoring budgets, improving revenue cycle performance, analyzing operational metrics, and implementing performance improvement strategies.
  • Oversee physician and provider contracting, ensuring compliance, consistency, and effective administration of employment and professional service agreements.
  • Lead physician practice growth initiatives, including market expansion, practice acquisitions, new program development, and successful onboarding and integration of acquired practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, accreditation, contractual, and organizational policies governing physician practice operations.
  • Champion quality improvement initiatives, patient safety, value-based care, and alternative payment models to improve clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Monitor key operational, financial, quality, and patient experience metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Mentor and engage physicians, advanced practice providers, and operational leaders in quality assurance, utilization management, performance improvement, and organizational initiatives.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration to resolve complex operational challenges, improve care delivery, and support a consistent, patient-centered experience.
  • Represent Woman's Hospital through administrative call responsibilities, organizational committees, community engagement, and professional events.
  • Perform additional leadership responsibilities as assigned in support of Woman's Hospital policies, strategic initiatives, and organizational mission.
