JOB TITLE:HR Business Partner

REPORTS TO:Vice President of Human Resources

HOURS/STATUS:Full-Time / Exempt

SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $85,000 annually

Position Summary

Serves as a frontline HR leader and trusted advisor supporting both Holy Childhood and Special Touch Bakery. This role is responsible for day-to-day employee relations, performance management, and manager support, while also assisting with recruiting and workforce needs.

The HRBP plays a critical role in ensuring a positive employee experience, operational efficiency, and compliance across two distinct agencies: a mission-driven human service organization and a food manufacturing operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serves as the first point of contact for employee concerns, questions, and conflict resolution.
  • Assists with recruitment efforts for both Holy Childhood and Special Touch Bakery to include drafting and updating job descriptions, managing job boards, attending job fairs and career events and using tools and resources to proactively engage job candidates.
  • Participates in interviews and candidate evaluations, as needed.
  • Supports onboarding to ensure a smooth and compliant new hire experience.
  • Promotes a respectful, inclusive, and missiondriven workplace culture.
  • Provides guidance on workplace issues including attendance, conduct, performance and interpersonal conflict.
  • Partners with leaders to address performance concerns and develop improvement plans.
  • Coaches supervisors on feedback delivery, documentation, and corrective action.
  • Supports annual performance review processes and goal setting.
  • Identifies trends in performance issues and recommends proactive solutions.
  • Functions as a strategic partner to school and bakery leaders.
  • Provides guidance on employee discipline and documentation, staffing challenges and employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Assists with HR projects to include updating forms, refining standard operating procedures, conducting internal audits and continuous process improvements.
  • Supports adherence to Federal and New York State labor laws.
  • Supports audits and compliance reviews, as needed.
  • Works closely with HR team to support data accuracy and integrity, leaves and accommodations and policy updates.
  • Supports organizationwide HR initiatives such as engagement, training, and retention strategies.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 510 years of HR experience (generalist or HRBP role preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations and performance management practices
  • Working knowledge of Federal and New York State labor laws
  • Ability to support both hourly and salaried workforces
  • Excellent communication, problemsolving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in nonprofit, education, manufacturing, or food production environments
  • HR certification (SHRMCP, PHR, or similar)
  • Experience working in a multisite or operationally diverse organization
