Job description

We're looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success - and their own. Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.

The Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain (VP ISC) is a pivotal leadership role within nVent's Systems Protection business segment. This executive will oversee end-to-end supply chain operations across 30 manufacturing locations and 9 distribution centers worldwide, leading procurement, manufacturing, quality, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, planning/SIOP, and EHS.

Dual reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and Segment President, the VP ISC will define and execute the strategic supply chain vision, ensuring alignment with nVent's enterprise growth agenda. The role requires both strategic foresight and hands-on execution, driving year-over-year improvement across cost, productivity, quality, safety, and service. Equally important, the VP ISC will lead with a growth mindset, scaling people, processes, and the supply chain footprint to meet surging demand in fast-growing end markets including data centers, utilities, and renewables. This segment is a $2.1 billion growth engine for nVent, with nearly half of revenue tied to electrical infrastructure supporting AI build-out and electrification trends.

The VP ISC will partner closely with engineering, product development, finance, and commercial leaders to enable new product launches, integrate acquisitions, optimize the global footprint, and ensure the supply chain supports nVent's growth trajectory toward $10 billion and beyond.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Leadership & Team Development: Enterprise Leadership: Build and mentor a results-oriented, diverse leadership team with clear succession plans. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with nVent's values. The incoming leader must "know what great looks like," bringing cycles of learning from best-in-class organizations to mature automation, digitalization, and planning capabilities.

  • Supply Chain Strategy & Transformation: Define and implement the segment's supply chain vision, strategy, and operational policies. Develop multi-year transformation roadmaps introducing digitalization, sustainability, and best-in-class practices. Establish global supplier partnerships, negotiate complex multi-year agreements, and lead supplier diversity initiatives. Drive automation, digitization, and advanced planning, ensuring supply chain processes evolve from strong lean foundations toward world-class maturity.

  • Operational Excellence & Footprint Optimization: Drive Lean and Operational Excellence at all levels of the organization. Oversee global footprint initiatives, including factory consolidations, expansions, and product line transfers. Lead manufacturing engineering to identify automation, process improvement, and value engineering opportunities. With 32 plants and 9 DCs, the VP ISC will be accountable for optimizing and scaling capacity quickly and effectively, including new factory set-up and regional expansion.

  • Planning, Logistics & Quality: Oversee global demand planning, S&OP, and forecasting to ensure alignment between supply, demand, and customer requirements. Lead logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely, efficient delivery of products. Oversee quality systems to ensure world-class manufacturing standards. Ensure safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environments across all operations.

  • Innovation & Growth Enablement: Partner with Innovation and New Product Engineering to enable seamless product launches. Develop product platform strategies to enhance efficiency, flexibility, and scalability. Support rapid integration of acquisitions (seven completed in recent years, two in this segment alone), ensuring processes and talent scale in parallel with portfolio growth.

  • Financial & Business Results: Deliver continuous improvements in cost structure, service, productivity, and working capital. Link operational performance directly to business results and customer satisfaction.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Professional certifications (APICS/CPIM, CPM) strongly preferred.

  • Experience with enterprise-level strategy while executing tactically in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • History of engaging teams with humility, transparency, and integrity.

  • Experience driving transformation and embedding Lean and CI practices.

  • Proven record of recruiting, coaching, and developing diverse, high-performing teams.

  • Goal-driven, accountable, and effective at managing complexity.

  • Strong collaborator with commercial, finance, and product leaders.
