Job description

 

The Vice President, Growth Initiatives will be directly responsible for the Securitech, Arrow, Lawrence, and Behavioral Health business segments which have the capability for rapid growth as well as lead the Marketing & Digital Content group for all the Access and Egress Hardware (AEH) brands.

This leader will partner closely with Sales, Business Development, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and P&L owners to deliver revenue and margin expansion through disciplined execution and cross-brand alignment.

The position reports directly to the President, Access & Egress Hardware Group and is based at our Connecticut facilities located in Berlin and New Haven.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Growth Strategy & Business Planning

  • Operate with a "startup" mentality and mentor four business segments with strong growth potential.
  • Use market and competitive analysis to define product roadmaps and prioritize initiatives across wholesale, contract hardware, OEM, government, and adjacent segments.
  • Establish dashboards and a structured review cadence to drive accountability for revenue, margin, mix, price realization, and NPI velocity.
  • Support end-to-end portfolio management.

Commercial & Channel Acceleration

  • Partner with DSS to refine and execute gotomarket strategies; engage directly with field sales and customers to test, learn, and scale.
  • Expand market presence through wholesale stocking, discretionary business, channel partnerships, and enhanced e-commerce/webshop capabilities.

Marketing Leadership

  • Lead the enterprise marketing strategy across all brands.
  • Oversee development of technical content and collateral (catalogs, brochures, sell sheets, spec documents, web content) and integrated campaign plans supporting product launches, vertical strategies, and demand generation.
  • Drive media/PR activities and thought leadership, securing positive coverage and managing agency/vendor relationships.
  • Lead marketing operations, including budget management and continuous improvement of marketing processes, accuracy, and speed.

 

Behavioral Health

  • Establish Behavioral Health as a priority vertical through a unified, cross-division strategy-defining target segments, decision-makers, and a comprehensive portfolio of integrated solutions (e.g., ligature-resistant door openings, software solutions, etc.).

 

People Leadership & Culture

  • Build high-performing, growth-oriented teams and leaders; foster collaboration and employee engagement across a complex organization.
  • Coach brand, product, and marketing leaders on datadriven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

 

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of proven leadership experience with the ability to build and scale businesses through an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach.
  • Familiarity with wholesale and contract distribution channels; ability to partner effectively with an internal sales organization.

Preferred

  • MBA
  • Experience in architectural hardware or electronic access control
  • Background spanning business development, marketing, new product development, and/or product management

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, project management, communication, and interpersonal influence skills
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership in matrixed environments; strong digital fluency; experience with ERP/CRM/e-commerce platforms preferred
  • Ability to coach and lead without micromanaging, while being adept at diving into details when needed

  • Ability to travel up to 35%
