Job description

The Vice President, Human Resources for the Systems Protection (SP) business segment will serve as a strategic business partner to the President of Systems Protection. They will partner with the President and broader SP Leadership Team in developing and delivering a people strategy that aligns with both the segment and enterprise strategic vision and mission. Based in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, the VP HR will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer for nVent with a dual reporting line into the SP President and be fully integrated with both the HR and Business Segment leadership teams. They will participate in the segment decision-making process, offer insight from the perspective of the HR team, as well as from a general business perspective. This individual will lead and manage an HR department of 100 employees globally and partner strongly with the HR COE teams to support their business segment.

This role is responsible for shaping and driving the people strategy that enables business growth, operational excellence, and a strong performance-driven culture across Systems Protection globally. The VP HR leads enterprise-aligned HR initiatives while tailoring solutions to the unique needs of the SP business.

Systems Protection Segment Overview

Systems Protection (SP) is a$2.6B globalbusinesssegment of nVentthathas ~9000 employeesgloballyin 28 countriesandprovides solutions to protect, cool, and power missioncritical electrical and electronic systems. The segment serves a broad range of end markets, including data centers, industrial automation, power utilities, renewable energy, and commercial buildings. Through a portfolio that includes enclosures, liquid cooling, power distribution, and engineered buildings, Systems Protection helps customers improve reliability, resilience, and energy efficiency across critical infrastructure applications, supported by strong brands such as nVent HOFFMAN, SCHROFF, and TRACHTE.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Partner with the Systems Protection President and leadership team to develop and execute our people and HR strategy aligned to strategic objectives and growth priorities.
  • Foster an inclusive culture, practices, and processes that maintain nVent's "Win Right" values in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, complex and high performing global work environment.
  • Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategies to support global manufacturing, engineering, product and commercial teams.
  • Drive leadership development, succession planning, and capability building for senior leaders and critical roles.
  • Provide strategic oversight of employee relations, change management, and culture integration initiatives across multiple geographies.
  • Collaborate, empower and ensure utilization of HR Centers of Excellence and shared services to the benefit of a great employee, manager and HR experience.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, labor practices, and compliance requirements while balancing business needs and employee experience.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor HR leaders and teams supporting the Systems Protection segment.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior HR roles supporting complex, global organizations.
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated experience collaborating with executive leadership in manufacturing or industrial environments; multi-site experience required.
  • Solid expertise in talent management, organizational effectiveness, and change leadership.
  • Proven ability to influence, coach, and challenge leaders to drive optimal business and people outcomes.
  • Experience in matrix organizations required; high growth company background is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:

$241,500.00 - $359,000.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
