Job description

About Alpha Design AI

Alpha Design AI builds ChipAgents™, the industry's first AI-agent platform that accelerates RTL design and verification. We serve semiconductor innovators - from fast-growing startups to top-10 chipmakers - helping them ship silicon faster, with higher quality and lower cost. Backed by top-tier investors and leading AI researchers, we are scaling rapidly and expanding our go-to-market team.

Role Overview

As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) you will own relationships with our highest-value prospects and customers (>$1M ARR each), driving new sales and multi-year expansions. You'll partner closely with the CEO, Product, and Customer Success to land and expand ChipAgents usage across global semiconductor and systems companies. This is a quota-carrying, high-visibility role with significant growth and leadership opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Strategy & Planning: Develop multi-year account plans that align ChipAgents capabilities to customer roadmaps and pain points. Map buying centers (design, verification, IT, C-suite) and cultivate executive champions.

  • New Business Acquisition: Own the full sales cycle—from discovery and ROI justification through negotiation and close—for strategic accounts. Structure enterprise agreements, pilots, and multi-year subscriptions that drive rapid adoption and expansion.

  • Relationship Management: Act as the trusted advisor to VP-level and C-suite stakeholders, positioning ChipAgents as a critical partner. Lead quarterly business reviews, success metric tracking, and renewal strategies.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Orchestrate deal teams with Solutions Engineering, Product, Legal, and Exec staff to remove friction and exceed customer expectations. Provide structured feedback to Product on roadmap priorities and competitive intelligence.

  • Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver accurate pipeline, forecast, and territory analysis in CRM; maintain >95% forecast accuracy. Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Enterprise semiconductor / EDA or B2B SaaS sales experience, with a focus on semiconductor, EDA, or adjacent hardware markets.

  • Proven track record closing $1M+ ACV deals and expanding to $5M+ within 18–24 months.

  • Deep understanding of semiconductor design/verification flows or EDA tools; ability to translate complex technical value into clear business outcomes.

  • Executive-level communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Mastery of MEDDICC, Challenger, or similar enterprise sales methodology.

  • Bachelor's degree in EE/CS or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
  • Network of director-to-C-level contacts at top-20 semiconductor companies.

  • Experience selling AI/ML or developer-focused platforms.

  • Familiarity with SOC 2 / on-prem vs. VPC deployment models and security requirements.

  • MBA or advanced technical degree.

Location & Travel

Hybrid role based in Santa Clara, CA with domestic/international travel to customer sites and industry events.

What we offer
  • $140K/yr – $350K/yr (plus uncapped commission) + Offers Equity. We are open to discuss above-scale compensation with exceptional candidates on a case-by-case basis.

  • Unlimited PTO and full benefits (medical, vision, dental, 401k).

  • Two engineering-centric offices with free parking, private gym, and free lunch, drinks and snacks.
