The George E. Booth Co. is a family-owned and operatedindustrial automation sales company looking to hire a Vice President of Service at our Greenwood HQ.

The George E. Booth Co. is a major distributor of processinstrumentation products, controls, and related services to customers inIllinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.  Founded in 1963, GeorgeE. Booth Sr. recognized that there would be a natural evolution in thedevelopment of products for the industrial instrumentation process field. 

The Vice President of Service is responsible for the continued development and success of George E Booth's Service Division.  The Vice President of Service will direct and coordinate the operations for the Service Division by managing daily operations, developing, and executing a growth minded business strategy for the division.  

Position is bound primarily to a standard officedesk station with occasional travel to local territory during normal businesshours. A clean driving record required. This role comes with a competitivecompensation plan and as well as excellent benefits. All candidates must belegally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities for the Vice President of Service:

  • Provide executive oversight for enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment, cross-functional collaboration, effective governance, and successful execution of key business priorities.
  • Establish strategic objectives, annual operating plans, budgets, and performance metrics for the Service organization.
  • Serve as executive leader ensuring seamless execution throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Develop scalable service processes that support company growth while maintaining exceptional quality and customer experience.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation and market differentiation. 
  • Develop organizational capabilities through succession planning, talent development, coaching, and performance management. 
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, strategic partners, suppliers, and industry stakeholders serving as an executive escalation point for critical service issues. 
  • Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and organizational planning to maximize operational effectiveness. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, safety, and company standards.
  • All other duties as assigned by shareholders.  

Requirements for the Vice President of Service

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • Five to Seven years of related service experience
  • Strong communication skills whether written, verbal or otherwise required especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts.
  • Valid Driver's License Required
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
