Job Description
The Senior Vice President, Data Science & Analytics (North America) will have holistic responsibility for all data science and analytics functions of the Financial Services & Data business. The role reports directly to the Chief Product and Analytics Officer of Financial Services & Data, and is the catalyst for transformation within the business, helping to evolve the way Experian provides insights to support existing customers and drive innovation.
Our Financial Services & Data (FSD) business powers decisioning and innovation across the financial ecosystem. We partner with leading banks, fintechs, and capital markets firms to deliver trusted data, advanced analytics, and cloud-based software that help clients make smarter, faster, and more confident decisions.
This leader will direct the development of analytics, data science, research, and innovation strategies. The role blends strategic vision with hands-on expertise: defining how AI and analytics are used across our products, designing future-ready solutions aligned to business strategy, and balancing growth with risk.
We're looking for a leader with strong business and technical acumen, deep data and analytics expertise, and a proven ability to inspire teams, build trust with diverse stakeholders, and lead effective change in a large-scale, data-driven environment.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Define and implement the Analytics strategy and communicate that strategy to company executives, external partners and customers.
  • Lead and inspire a team of data professionals who will create and develop a world class data capability
  • Implement models and ML/AI to fuel new product features, improve operational quality, and create a personalized experience for Experian's customers and partners.
  • Steward of data as a strategic business asset, revenue driver and source of risk mitigation for Experian
  • Identify trends and evolving user behavior that may support or impede our investments, and drive innovation that leverages key technology trends
  • Oversee the development of the requirements, principles, models and designs of data applications or use cases
  • Evaluate emerging trends such as big/open/linked data, ML/AI, and determine the impacts on the future-state enterprise data architecture.
  • Partner consultatively with leaders in product management, sales, marketing, technology, and delivery to provide analytics insights that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct research and case studies on our competitors' analytics and other relevant leading edge trends to make determinations on the probability of their usefulness
  • Contribute to the broader leadership agenda on an ongoing basis as a member of the business unit leadership team

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in developing and leading business-driven data strategies and progressive management and leadership experience
  • Substantial depth of knowledge in Data Technology with a detailed understanding of the technology architecture, data development lifecycle and data tools and technologies.
  • Experience with advanced data analytics, predictive models, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
  • Experience implementing data and platform strategies to deliver transformative evolution to the business
  • MBA or equivalent experience in Data Science, Analytics or other analogous fields
