Description
The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction for clinic operations by setting the standards and practices that support rapid growth, drive operational excellence and enable consistent and disciplined execution by field teams each day. The Vice President of Operations will oversee podiatry clinics located in Illinois, Michigan, Colorado, Utah, and Virginia.
The ideal leader will have multi-unit experience with proven success developing strong and engaged teams and a track record of delivering results through a disciplined operating structure, ideally in the healthcare or service-based retail space. This person will be driven by a sense of urgency to set clear priorities against the realities of a fast-growing entrepreneurial business. The ideal candidate would have worked in both growing and established brands, while understanding that no job is too big or too small.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Focus on day-to-day operational success, driving the business, integrating strategic initiatives throughout the operations and partnering with functional support groups on continuous improvement areas
  • Drive revenue and contribution through facilitation of growth, profitability and maximization of Key Performance Indicators
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the field that result in delivering budget expectations through a consistent, disciplined approach
  • Partner with functional colleagues to create tools, systems and processes that scale quickly, efficiently and effectively
  • Engage, develop and groom regional, and clinic level leadership to ensure effective execution and a growing talent leadership pipeline
  • Control, monitor and deliver an effective labor model that both drives an exceptional clinic experience and business results
  • Define and execute plans based on needs identified through regular review and analysis of Key Performance Indicators and other key business metrics
  • Hold teams accountable to assess and develop talent regularly to achieve high standards of performance and service
  • Partner with Integrations team to set up and effectively manage acquired practices throughout their first year
  • Create a team environment that delivers results in ways that attract and retain top talent

Requirements
  • Strong field operations knowledge, including multi-site operations, call center operations, real estate management, talent development, customer service and patient/physician experience
  • Experience building and scaling a field organization to support exponential growth
  • Strong communications that spread the vision and build credibility and trust with physicians and teams that have recently joined the organization
  • Has a track record of building strong, cohesive teams that deliver consistent results
  • Successfully worked cross-functionally to influence and deliver results across the company
  • Demonstrated track record of representing the voice of field operations on enterprise teams focused on strategic initiatives and innovations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and can operate effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking, problem solving, and effective communication
  • Able to deliver results through relentless focus on disciplined execution with the ability to articulate vision, rally the team, and motivate others
  • Be a transformative thought leader who is hands-on and able to make quick decisions
  • Able to work cross-functionally with sophisticated influencing/engagement skills that can mobilize resources to deliver positive physician, employee, patient and business outcomes
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills that allow to lead with a sense of urgency to drive deadlines, results and change

Education and Experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on field leadership experience in a large, multi-site environment, preferably within healthcare or retail business model, with responsibility for at least $150M in revenue and 50+ locations
  • Experience in an acquisition model with successful integration of independent locations a plus
  • Experience working in Private Equity backed Healthcare operations preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in Podiatry, Orthopedics a plus
