Vice President - Ticket Sales - Rapid City Rush (ECHL)
Department: Front Office, Business Operations
Location: Rapid City, SD
The Rapid City Rush are seeking a well-qualified, high energy, self-motivated individual with a "TEAM" mentality for the Vice President - Ticket Sales role. Preferably looking for a candidate with current or prior professional/college team and/or venue knowledge and business operations management experience.
Job Summary:
The Vice President - Ticket Sales will be a "leader by example" - working closely with the President and Executive Vice President to direct staff; set goals and manage execution; and drive revenue. A successful candidate for this role will; help staff reach daily/monthly team goals, coach members to reach individual goals, run sales contests and meetings, participate in training sessions and conference calls with management, and generate revenue. Utilize the ECHL's provided Sales support programs (StellarAlgo, Ultimate Toolkit, and Vozzi Texting) to maximize ticket revenue.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Generate ticket revenue using all sales methods, including face-to-face appointments, cold calls, arena tours, prospecting and networking. This individual will be seen, not just as a leader in the office, but a leader in the community.
• This position reports directly to the team President and Executive Vice President and oversees the following positions:
• Director of Group Sales
• Account Executives (3)
• Liaison between the team and ad agency to drive single game ticket sales and make sure key marketing metrics are being hit.
• Teach staff proper selling techniques and tactics
• Coach staff with weekly one-on-one meetings to get a better understanding of how they are progressing and provide feedback on issues they are facing
• Hold staff accountable for meeting individual, department and team revenue goals.
• Instruct staff on how to prospect new business opportunities for themselves
• Work with President and EVP to determine staff and departmental short and long-term goals, then strive to exceed those goals. This individual will play a critical role in all departments of Business Operations in the Front Office.
• Help create department budgets.

• At least 4-6 years industry-experience, preferably with a professional sports team and managing staff
