Job description

Volvo Car retailers across the United States are hiring motivated individuals who want to build a career as automotive technicians. The Volvo NextTech Program connects candidates with participating retailers, provides hands-on training, and offers a clear pathway to Volvo G1 Technician Certification.

Program Highlights

  • 4–12-week apprenticeship with hands-on dealership experience

Required Qualifications

  • Age 16+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Ability to pass background and drug screenings
  • Strong attendance and professionalism

Education or Experience (One Required)

  • Graduate or near completion of an automotive education program (CTE, trade school, college, or military), or
  • Minimum 12 months full-time experience in a professional shop (dealer or independent) performing basic maintenance, tire services, and shop safety procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic automotive hand tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • ASE or OEM training exposure
  • Experience in structured environments (military, fleet, CTE labs)
