Position Overview

Helping Homes Counseling & Wellness is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their social, emotional, and psychological needs through clinical interviews and standardized assessment tools.
  • Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care to address various life challenges.
  • Develop tailored service plans that align with clients’ personal goals, adjusting these plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Advocate for clients’ rights and access to essential resources, supporting them in navigating complex systems related to health care, housing, and legal matters.
  • Collaborate effectively with community organizations, government agencies, and volunteers to build and enhance our service offerings aimed at social impact.
  • Contribute to ongoing program development, evaluation efforts, and grant writing to secure funding for community initiatives.
  • Engage in regular team meetings, professional training sessions, and community outreach efforts to promote the organization’s services and values.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves individuals and families facing a variety of life challenges including mental health disorders, trauma, substance use issues, and socioeconomic hardships. You will engage with diverse populations, including marginalized groups, ensuring culturally competent and equitable treatment.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills complemented by empathy and a commitment to social justice.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively are required.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working within a nonprofit organization or similar social service setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with local community resources and understanding of advocacy principles will be advantageous.
  • Practical experience in providing services using a trauma-informed approach.
Compensation and Benefits
