Job description

All United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley (UWGLV) AmeriCorps VISTA assignments will expand capacity towards population level goals across the region. UWGLV strives to create population level change in the areas of education, healthy aging, and community stability to ensure individuals who experience crises have the supports they need to rebound. The UWGLV VISTA project focuses on strengthening the networks of providers that deliver services to address concerns and through working with UWGLV staff they support the efforts across all four-issue areas. VISTAs address issues at the programmatic and systemic levels seeking to identify and deal with the root causes by utilizing the collective impact framework.

Responsibilities
The BGCA Youth Programs Coordinator AmeriCorps VISTA with the Boys and Girls Club of Allentown will strengthen program quality, capacity, and youth outcomes across Club programs. The VISTA will support staff and volunteers, improve program delivery, and ensure Club programs maintain their impact. Responsibilities include developing and implementing tools to track outcomes, supporting data collection and reporting, creating tracking activities and goals for program areas, providing training to staff and volunteers, and assisting with athletics programming. This role will help build sustainable systems that enhance organizational capacity, program effectiveness, and the positive impact of the Boys and Girls Club of Allentown on youth development.
Requirements
Willing to serve full time for a modest living allowance of $24,962 annually and education award.
At least 18 years old
Have a HS diploma or G.E.D.
Able to report in person for work in Lehigh, Northampton or Carbon counties.
Able to secure clearances to work with vulnerable populations (Act 153).
