Position Overview
Raven Autonomous Technologies is seeking an experience Drone Pilot. The Drone pilot is responsible for the safe and effective operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for our clients. The position requires technical proficiency with drone platforms, a strong understanding of FAA regulations, and the ability to conduct pre-flight planning, execute flights, and post-mission data handling.

Responsibilities:
Operate UAS to perform missions for commercial, industrial, or governmental purposes.
Conduct flight planning, site assessments, and risk mitigation in accordance with FAA Part 107 and company policies.
Maintain accurate flight logs, equipment maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
Interpret missions' requirements and execute autonomous or manual flight operations.
Perform pre-flight checks, calibration, troubleshooting, and post-flight inspections.
Coordinate with airspace authorities and maintain situational awareness of surrounding air traffic.
Ensure safety of personnel, property, and equipment during all operations.
Stay current with UAS technologies, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:
Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
Proven experience flying commercial drones in field conditions.
Familiarity with UAS platforms.
Understanding of UAS software tools for flight planning, mission execution, and data processing.
Strong knowledge of airspace classification, NOTAMs, METARs, and FAA regulations.
Excellent spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.

How Do You Know if You Are a Veteran Protected by VEVRAA?

What Categories of Veterans Are "Protected" by VEVRAA?

"Protected" veterans include the following categories: (1) disabled veterans; (2) recently separated veterans; (3) active-duty wartime or campaign badge veterans; and (4) Armed Forces service medal veterans. These categories are defined below.

1. A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: aveteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under the laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or
   a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.
2. A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.
3. An "active-duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.
4. An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.
